Full job description
Key Responsibilities
1. Food Preparation:
Prepare sandwiches, wraps, and other menu items as per recipes and customer requests.
Ensure the consistent quality of ingredients, presentation, and portioning.
Maintain freshness and proper handling of perishable items.
2. Kitchen Operations:
Assist in setting up and maintaining the sandwich station.
Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Ensure the timely preparation of orders, especially during peak hours.
3. Inventory and Stock:
Monitor stock levels for sandwich ingredients and communicate replenishment needs to the supervisor.
Minimize waste by properly storing and rotating ingredients.
4. Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work closely with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service.
Assist in other kitchen tasks as required by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
5. Cleanliness and Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment and utensils after use.
Requirements
1. Qualifications and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Culinary certification or training is an advantage.
Previous experience in a similar role (preferably in a high-volume kitchen or restaurant).
2. Skills and Competencies:
Basic knife skills and food preparation knowledge.
Strong attention to detail and presentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
3. Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks.
Capacity to lift and move kitchen supplies and equipment as needed.
