As we continue to grow in Qatar’s vibrant hospitality sector, we are seeking a detail-oriented Hotel Accountant to join our finance team in Doha.
Position Overview
The Hotel Accountant will be responsible for managing daily financial operations within the hotel environment, ensuring accurate reporting, revenue control, and compliance with accounting standards. This role is ideal for a finance professional with hospitality experience who can balance accuracy with the fast-paced nature of hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily hotel accounting operations, including revenue, expenses, and cash controls
- Reconcile daily sales, POS systems, and bank deposits
- Monitor room revenue, occupancy reports, and departmental income statements
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable related to hotel operations
- Ensure proper recording of guest billing, refunds, and adjustments
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and hospitality accounting standards
- Coordinate with front office, F&B, and operations teams on financial matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in hotel or hospitality accounting
- Strong understanding of hotel revenue systems and accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
