Hostess – F&B Duty Free Jobs in Doha, Qatar at Qatar Duty Free
Qatar Duty Free is hiring for a Doha-based role – Host / Hostess located at Hamad International Airport.
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional service by greeting arriving guests and ensuring a positive first impression of the establishment as guests enter the restaurant. This role involves welcoming guests and efficiently managing timely seating to their respective tables.
Operational accountabilities include :
Welcoming, greeting, and seating guests, presenting menus with a positive attitude and a smile, and maintaining positive body language. Treat all guests professionally to ensure complete satisfaction; always strive to exceed expectations.
Taking guest information and informing them of waiting times when tables are not immediately available.
Handling table bookings, arranging reservations in advance, escorting guests to their tables, and monitoring the dining area for available and cleaned tables.
Regularly checking reservation lists, coordinating with service staff and kitchen for guest arrivals.
Inspecting and maintaining dining facilities to ensure cleanliness at all times.
Collecting comment cards and compiling feedback for management to improve service.
Answering phone inquiries regarding the menu and restaurant, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Ensuring menus are updated and presentable as per company standards.
Monitoring tables for cleanliness and occupancy, and being available as a point of contact for guests.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of airport facilities and services to respond to guest inquiries.
Communicating effectively with all related departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
Interacting with guests during their arrival and departure to ensure a positive dining experience.
Providing consistently professional, friendly, warm, and engaging service.
Adhering to grooming and appearance standards at all times.
Complying with health and safety policies and procedures, and handling take-away orders if applicable.
Performing other related duties as directed by the Head of Department.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills :
Minimum high school qualification with at least 2 years of job-related experience.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Ability to listen and respond to demanding guest needs.
Ability to work in a busy environment under pressure.
Ability to work well in a team.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Responsible for incoming and passing-by guests.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and work efficiently under pressure.
