Job Description
Scope and Objectives
This position involves maintaining attentive service to all guests, projecting warmth and friendliness, managing dining reservations using the reservation system, and updating patrons’ preferences and history.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure correct grooming standards are maintained at all times.
Exceed guest satisfaction by knowing and updating guest preferences.
Attend to phone queries and reservations.
Assist walk-in guests.
Follow up on financial, LQA, Trust You, and Forbes targets daily.
Anticipate and service guests’ requirements consistently.
Monitor daily financial targets of the area/division.
Use opening and closing checklists for smooth venue operation.
Communicate reservation needs and special requests to managers.
Coordinate reservations with the Dining Reservation Department and other hostesses.
Manage the logbook and seating cards for guest recognition.
Assist guests to their tables and seat them appropriately.
Maintain menus impeccably, free of spelling or grammatical errors.
Coordinate and assist in service according to standards.
Maintain high service standards at all times.
Communicate issues to the Head Hostess, Supervisors, and Management.
Adhere to hotel standards and policies.
Be empowered and accountable within the workplace.
Update the manager on guest feedback for glitch reporting.
Maintain HACCP and FIFO standards as per regional regulations.
Follow hotel evacuation policies during emergencies.
Attend briefings and training sessions as instructed.
Handle financial procedures as per finance guidelines.
Identify potential problems and anticipate guest needs.
Perform duties and projects as assigned by management.
Report issues and negative feedback properly through the glitch system.
Follow the care program and report maintenance issues accordingly.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
