JOB TITLE: HOME & INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN
LOCATION: doha
JOB TYPE: Full-time
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Home & Industrial Automation Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot automation systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with smart home systems, electrical controls, PLCs, and integrated automation solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, configure, and commission home automation systems (lighting, HVAC, security systems, smart devices, etc.)
- Install and maintain industrial automation systems including PLCs, SCADA, and control panels
- Perform electrical wiring, cabling, and panel installations according to technical drawings and safety standards
- Diagnose and repair faults in automation and control systems
- Integrate IoT devices and smart systems with existing infrastructure
- Carry out preventive maintenance and system inspections
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Provide technical support and training to clients/users on-site
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and industry standards
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field
- Experience in home automation and/or industrial automation systems
- Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar)
- Familiarity with smart home protocols (KNX, Zigbee, Z-Wave, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems
- Basic knowledge of networking (IP addressing, routers, IoT connectivity)
- Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with SCADA systems
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Experience with HVAC control systems
- Automation software configuration/programming experience
