HIS Support Specialist
Location:
Jeddah & Taif, Saudi Arabia.

2 month contractor (On-Site), Extendable.
Role Overview
The HIS Support Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical and functional support for the Hospital Information System (HIS). The successful candidate will work closely with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure smooth system operations and a high level of user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and functional support for HIS users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, incidents, and user inquiries.
- Log, track, and follow up on support tickets until resolution.
- Escalate complex issues to higher level support teams or vendors when required.
- Configure and manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.
- Assist with system updates, testing, and deployment of new functionalities.
- Maintain documentation for processes, known issues, and resolutions.
- Deliver basic user training and support sessions.
- Gather user feedback and contribute to system improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with implementation and IT teams to ensure system stability and performance.
- Conduct shift handover activities.
- Maintain issues log and tracking.
- Assist with training preparations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Health Sciences, Health Informatics, Medical Background, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience in technical support and troubleshooting of HIS or similar healthcare/enterprise applications.
- Excellent customer support and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with clinical, administrative, and technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with hospital workflows, medical terminology, or healthcare information systems is highly preferred.
- Willingness to work on site in Jeddah and Taif.
