Key Responsibilities
Process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately.
Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments securely.
Provide receipts and ensure proper bagging of purchased items.
Greet customers and assist with inquiries about products, pricing, and promotions.
Maintain an organized and clean checkout area.
Balance the cash register and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
Follow store policies and security procedures to prevent fraud or loss.
Assist in stocking shelves and organizing displays when needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Provide a friendly and efficient checkout experience to enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications And Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is a plus.
Basic math skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using POS (Point of Sale) systems and handling cash transactions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume transactions.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Work Environment
Retail store, supermarket, restaurant, or service counter setting.
Requires standing for long periods and handling cash transactions throughout the shift.
