We are seeking an experienced 3D SolidWorks Automotive Designer who has hands-on expertise in CNC machining. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in automotive design, proficiency in SolidWorks, and practical experience in CNC programming and operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Design automotive components and systems using SolidWorks, with a focus on parts that will be machined using CNC equipment.
Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical specifications for parts intended for manufacturing, ensuring they are ready for CNC machining.
Program CNC machines to manufacture automotive components based on the designs you create.
Collaborate with machinists to optimize designs for machinability, ensuring that parts can be efficiently produced with minimal waste and downtime.
Conduct post-processing tasks, such as inspecting parts for quality control, conducting dimensional analysis, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during machining.
Develop tooling and fixtures for specific parts and assemblies that need to be machined.
Optimize machining processes to ensure high precision, accuracy, and efficiency in production.
Stay current with developments in CNC machining technologies and SolidWorks advancements.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in 3D modeling and design using SolidWorks, with a focus on automotive components.
Proficiency with CNC programming and operation, particularly with Rottler CNC machines (or similar machines).
In-depth knowledge of CNC machining processes such as milling, turning, and drilling, specifically for the automotive industry.
Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) for precise manufacturing of automotive parts.
Hands-on experience in setting up CNC machines, tool path generation, and troubleshooting machining issues.
A solid understanding of materials used in automotive parts and how to adapt designs for different materials.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with other CNC machines and control systems.
Experience with CAD/CAM software used in CNC machining (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
Previous experience working in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.
Understanding of lean manufacturing and process improvement techniques.
Experience in prototyping and small batch production for automotive components.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Pay: AED2,500.00 – AED4,500.00 per month
