Role Description The Heavy Equipment Assessor is a full-time, on-site role based in Dammam, responsible for evaluating the condition, performance, and safety of various heavy equipment assets. Day-to-day tasks include conducting detailed inspections, documenting equipment status, identifying maintenance or repair needs, and preparing assessment reports for internal teams and clients. The role involves verifying compliance with safety standards and company guidelines, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with operations and maintenance staff to plan corrective actions. The Heavy Equipment Assessor also supports asset valuation, contributes to risk assessments, and participates in continuous improvement of assessment processes and checklists.

Functional Duties:

  1. Perform assessments to determine operators’ competency in Heavy Equipment including:
  • Backhoe
  • Bulldozer
  • Forklift
  • Grader
  • Wheel Loader
  • Skid Loader
  • Backhoe Loader
  • Sideboom
  • Telehandler
  • Other related heavy equipment.
  1. Assist in the development of written and practical assessments within the area of expertise.
  2. Ensure all assessments are conducted efficiently, accurately, and professionally.
  3. Complete assessment analyses and maintain appropriate documentation and records.
  4. Undertake mentoring responsibilities as required.
  5. Support Quality Assurance (QA) audits.
  6. Assist in policy and procedure reviews, updates, and development.
  7. Uphold the Company Heavy Equipment Certifications Unit policies, standards, and procedures.

Job Specifications:

Academic and Professional Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Technical qualification or diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • Certification in the specific area of expertise, such as:
  • Backhoe
  • Bulldozer
  • Forklift
  • Wheel Loader
  • Backhoe Loader
  • Other heavy equipment categories.
  • Fluent in English (reading and writing).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Academic and Professional Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Assessor Award Qualification issued by a recognized Awarding Body.

Professional Experience (Minimum)

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial experience in the relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an instructor, trainer, or teacher.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an assessment or assessor role.
  • Experience in training and assessment development is considered an advantage.
