Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Sharq Village & Spa in Doha. This role is responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related equipment throughout the property to ensure comfortable and safe environments for guests and staff. Daily tasks include inspecting and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical components, performing preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units, and responding to service requests in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The technician collaborates with the engineering team, keeps accurate maintenance records, follows safety and environmental regulations, and supports energy-efficient operation of all HVAC systems.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for HVAC systems and related equipment.
- Working knowledge of plumbing systems as they relate to heating and cooling operations.
- Experience with scheduled preventive maintenance for HVAC and building engineering systems.
- Understanding of EPA-related regulations and safe handling of refrigerants and other controlled substances.
- Practical skills in electricity, including reading wiring diagrams and safely working with electrical components.
- Relevant technical certification or diploma in HVAC, mechanical, or electrical engineering; additional trade licenses are an advantage.
- Previous experience as an HVAC or maintenance technician, ideally within hospitality or commercial facilities.
- Ability to work in shifts, respond to emergencies, and perform physically demanding tasks safely.
- Good communication skills, ability to follow hotel standards, and commitment to guest-focused service.
