We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious HSE Officer to support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies across project sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring site activities, promoting safe work practices, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilitie
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe acts, conditions, and potential hazards.
- Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with HSE procedures, regulations, and project safety requirements.
- Assist in implementing HSE policies, procedures, and safety programs across project sites.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and induction programs for employees and subcontractors.
- Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote safe working practices.
- Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, incident logs, and other safety documentation.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and reviewing method statements before work activities commence.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills and evacuation exercises.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to address safety concerns and improve site safety performance.
- Monitor housekeeping standards and environmental compliance on site.
- Participate in client, consultant, and internal HSE inspections and meetings as required.
Qualifications & Requireme
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, landscaping, or related industries.
- Knowledge of HSE regulations, safety procedures, and hazard identification techniques.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE certification is preferred.
- Experience conducting site inspections, safety observations, and toolbox talks.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a strong presence on site.
- Strong commitment to promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
