Key Responsibilities:
- HSE Compliance: Ensure adherence to local and international health, safety, and environmental standards, regulations, and codes. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the substation to ensure compliance.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Identify potential hazards and assess risks at the substation. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and safety measures.
- Safety Protocol Development: Draft and update safety procedures, manuals, and guidelines for substation operations. Establish emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
- Training and Awareness: Conduct HSE training sessions for staff, contractors, and other stakeholders. Promote HSE awareness through workshops, signage, and communication campaigns.
- Incident Reporting and Investigation: Respond promptly to any safety incidents or near-misses. Investigate accidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Environmental Management: Monitor environmental impacts of substation operations, including waste management and emissions. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
- Coordination and Communication: Liaise with regulatory authorities, contractors, and stakeholders regarding HSE matters. Prepare and present regular HSE reports to management.
