The Role
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) strategy across major hospitality construction projects in Makkah. This role is responsible for driving a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing best-in-class HSE practices to safeguard employees, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations and ISO 45001 standards.
- Lead site inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Deliver HSE training, emergency response programmes, and safety awareness initiatives.
- Monitor contractor HSE performance and oversee corrective actions.
- Prepare risk assessments, safety reports, and compliance documentation.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all project teams.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
Requirements
- Previous professional experience in Germany (Mandatory).
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- NEBOSH International Diploma (or equivalent) is mandatory.
- 15+ years of HSE experience in large-scale construction, hospitality, real estate, or infrastructure projects, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations, ISO 45001, and HSE management systems.
- Experience with audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, contractor management, and emergency response planning.
- Professional certifications such as ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, IOSH, CSP, or equivalent are advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
