Job Summary

The Head Pastry Chef is responsible for leading and managing all pastry and dessert operations within the establishment. This role combines creative artistry with technical mastery and strong leadership to deliver exceptional pastry products that reflect the vision and standards of the restaurant, hotel, or bakery. The Head Pastry Chef oversees a team of pastry professionals, drives menu innovation, and ensures consistent quality across all sweet offerings.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the entire pastry team, including Sous Pastry Chefs, Chef de Parties, Commis, and apprentices
  • Create work schedules, assign duties, and manage staff performance
  • Conduct regular team briefings and training sessions
  • Foster a positive, disciplined, and creative kitchen culture

Menu Development & Creativity

  • Design and develop seasonal dessert menus, plated desserts, petit fours, pastries, breads, and specialty cakes
  • Stay current with global pastry trends and incorporate innovative techniques
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to align pastry offerings with the overall culinary concept
  • Create signature dishes that distinguish the establishment in the market
  • Develop menus for special events, holidays, and private dining

Minimum: 1-3 Years in the same field

Italian and French Cuisine experience required

Pay: AED4,000.00 – AED7,000.00 per month
