Role Description The Head of Recovery is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Jeddah, responsible for overseeing end-to-end recovery operations and strategy. The role includes leading recovery teams, setting performance targets, and ensuring adherence to governance, compliance, and customer-centric standards. Day-to-day tasks involve designing and optimizing recovery workflows, leveraging analytics and technology platforms, monitoring portfolio performance, and implementing strategies to improve recovery rates and portfolio health. The Head of Recovery collaborates closely with senior management, client relationship teams, and technology partners to align recovery initiatives with business objectives and regulatory requirements. This position also involves mentoring team members, managing budgets, and continuously enhancing operational excellence, transparency, and measurable outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in recovery, collections, credit risk, or receivables management, preferably within financial services or related sectors.
- Strong skills in portfolio analytics, performance tracking, and data-driven decision-making using relevant tools and dashboards.
- Experience implementing technology-enabled recovery strategies, including workflow automation, AI-enabled decisioning, and digital communication channels.
- Demonstrated ability to design and enforce governance frameworks, compliance standards, and risk controls aligned with local regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, regulators, and internal teams.
- Track record in building, managing, and developing high-performing teams, including coaching, training, and performance management.
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications in credit, risk, or collections are an advantage.
- Familiarity with the Saudi financial ecosystem and regulatory environment; fluency in English required, Arabic language skills highly beneficial.
