Position: Country Head of Quality
Quality & Food Safety Head – Saudi Arabia
Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Alexander Steele is supporting a leading international food manufacturing business with the appointment of a Quality & Food Safety Head for its Saudi Arabian operations.
This is a senior country-level role responsible for leading the full Quality & Food Safety agenda across multiple manufacturing sites
, ensuring the consistent delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality products.
The position will be based in Jeddah
, with responsibility across Saudi operations and regular domestic travel.
The Role
The successful candidate will lead Quality & Food Safety across the business, working closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D, Procurement and regional leadership.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the Food Safety Management System across multiple factories
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, SFDA and GCC requirements
- Driving audit readiness and leading internal and external audits
- Managing CAPA closure, root cause analysis and continuous improvement activity
- Standardising quality systems, governance routines, KPIs and procedures across sites
- Leading product quality, compliance, product release and incident management
- Acting as a key point of contact for regulatory bodies, certification bodies and external auditors
- Building a strong quality and food safety culture across factory teams
- Coaching, developing and leading the Quality & Food Safety team
The Candidate
We are looking to speak with candidates who have:
- Strong Quality & Food Safety leadership experience within FMCG / food manufacturing
- Experience operating across a site, multi-site or country-level manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of FSMS, HACCP, FSSC 22000 and ISO 22000
- Experience with SFDA / GCC regulatory requirements
- Strong audit, compliance, supplier quality and continuous improvement experience
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- A degree in Food Science, Microbiology or a related field
- Lead Auditor or Food Safety certifications would be advantageous
