Role
- Providing strategic and operational leadership for the primary school in line with the IB PYP philosophy and EGA’s School Strategic Plan
- Ensuring the highest quality implementation and ongoing development of the IB Primary Years Programme
- Leading, developing and supporting a talented primary teaching team through coaching, appraisal and CPD
- Driving school improvement through monitoring, evaluation, data analysis and collaborative planning
- Building a strong, nurturing school community where every student feels safe, valued and challenged
- Working in close partnership with the PYP Coordinator to strengthen programme delivery and prepare for IB accreditation
- Fostering strong relationships with parents and the wider school community
- Overseeing assessment, reporting and curriculum planning across the primary school
- Promoting student agency, inquiry-based learning and the IB learner profile throughout primary
Qualifications
- A recognised primary teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent) and a relevant degree
- Significant senior leadership experience within an IB PYP school
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the IB Primary Years Programme and transdisciplinary pedagogy
- A proven track record of raising student outcomes and leading school improvement
- Experience developing and coaching high‑quality teaching teams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
- International school experience, ideally within the Middle East (desirable)
