Role Overview:
TheHead of Marketplace Warehouse Operationswill be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our warehouse management operations for our Marketplace vertical, focusing on scaling the operation in the short term and delivering strategic improvements for the future, including automation and robotics.
This role requires adynamicleader with exceptional operational expertise, outside-the-boxproblem-solving, and the ability to rapidly implement solutions that drive efficiency and growth. Expertise in inventory and consignment models, cross-border fulfillment, and cross-docking operations is critical to succeed in this role. WAAS experience is also desirable.
The ideal candidate will have aproven track recordof managing complex warehouse operations while navigating thedynamicneeds of a rapidly growing business.
As the Head of Warehouse Operations, you will be a key player in shaping the future operational strategy of our Marketplace vertical, ensuring high standards of performance whilst also coaching and mentoring the warehouse team.
(Some of) What you will be doing:
StrategicLeadership:Develop and drive the operational strategy for warehouse operations, includinginventory management, cross-border fulfilment, and consignment models. Align warehouse goals with broader company objectives, ensuring operational efficiency, costoptimization, and rapid scalability.
Operational Excellence:Work with the warehouse management team to optimize functions including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and ensure timely order fulfilment.
Problem Solving:Lead the warehouse operations team in rapidly finding solutions to operational challenges. Anticipate potential operational roadblocks, developinnovative solutions, and implement corrective actions quickly to minimize disruptions.
Inventory Management & Consignment Models:Own and optimizeinventory managementsystems, ensuring real-time accuracy and visibility across multiple locations. Expertise in consignmentinventory management, ensuring proper handling of third-party inventory and cost allocation models.
Cross-Border Fulfilment & Logistics:Launch & manage international and cross-border supply chain and fulfilment operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and efficient transportation across multiple countries and regions.
