We’re seeking a results-oriented Head of Applications to lead a critical function within our client’s IT & Digital team.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the management and support of a diverse application portfolio, ensuring that they meet the evolving needs of the business.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of application specialists, ensuring efficient and effective support for various application clusters (e.g., CRM, Asset Management, Transport Management).
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for application management, including maintenance, optimization, and security.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure applications deliver tangible value.
Foster open communication and collaboration with peers across different functions to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
Build and manage a team of Product Owners, recruiting and retaining talent with the expertise required for business success.
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in application management and related fields.
Continuously monitor application performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Proactively address application-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
Manage budgets and resources effectively for application support and maintenance.
Qualifications
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in application management or a related IT leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully managing and supporting complex application landscapes.
Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and best practices in application management.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Ability to build strong relationships and foster a collaborative environment within the team and across departments.
Experience in building and managing high-performing teams is a plus.
Experience working with Product Owners is a plus.
