One behalf of one of our leading technology clients, Alexander Ash are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and drive financial performance.
This role requires a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local and international accounting standards, business operations, and strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring efficient management of financial processes and controls.
Develop and implement financial strategies to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process in alignment with business objectives.
Ensure effective cash flow, working capital, and liquidity management.
Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions for funding, treasury, and financial services.
Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with IFRS/local GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Oversee tax planning and compliance with local tax regulations.
Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Provide financial insights to senior management for decision-making and strategic planning.
Partner with operational teams to optimize cost structures and improve financial performance.
Analyze key financial metrics, trends, and risks, providing recommendations for business growth.
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement best practices for financial management and reporting.
Ensure the team is up to date with regulatory and industry changes affecting financial operations.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA/ACCA/CFA preferred).
Fluent in Arabic and English (both written and spoken).
10+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of financial operations, cash flow management, and accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP).
Experience in a regulated industry or a complex operational environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and drive financial performance improvements.
Hands-on, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in the MENA region with knowledge of local financial regulations and business culture.
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience in working with senior leadership.
Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar financial systems).
