We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic British trained Key Stage 1 teacher for our two form entry primary school. The vacancy is currently in one of our Year 1 classes. The school is located in the north of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in Al Rams. RAK Academy – Al Rams is a small primary school delivering the English National Curriculum through familiar resourcing such as White Rose Maths and Developing Experts. We are accredited by the British Schools Overseas (BSO), benchmarked against leading international British schools and are able to fully deliver the ECT induction to teachers.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and positive Key Stage 1 teacher to join our wonderful school community.
Essential:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree plus a post-graduate qualification in education (PGCE) OR hold a Bachelor of Education degree.
Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Have an understanding of up to date and relevant practices within Key Stage 1.
Trained and have experience delivering a British curriculum.
Be able to effectively deliver phonics and guided reading support
Strong ability to use technology to support teaching and learning.
Be able to engage, motivate and support children, staff and parents.
Be a reflective practitioner with the ability to think creatively and innovate.
Be a positive and enthusiastic member of staff.
Be willing to be fully involved in extra-curricular activities.
Desirable (But not essential):
Experience of Talk for Writing, White Rose Maths, Phonics delivery and STEM based activities.
