Qualifications and Experience Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in large construction projects within the oil & gas industry, including 2 years in a supervisory role overseeing service/vendor personnel. At least 8 years of field experience in SIMOPS.
Experience with oil and gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies.
Broad knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria related to fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up.
Understanding of offshore and onshore facilities, yard operations, and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
Experience working in large-scale organizations across operations, projects, and subsurface teams.
Proven track record of project delivery, managing EPC contractors and subcontractors, with excellent safety performance.
Desired experience in brownfield SIMOPS planning and execution.
Knowledge of construction planning, specifications, and procedures.
Experience with major EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors in the LNG industry.
Technical and Business Skills
Excellent written and spoken English skills.
Strong technical, prioritization, and management abilities.
Effective influencing and interfacing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, etc.
Key Job Responsibilities
Provide safety leadership and promote a safety culture aligned with company and project vision.
Lead project SIMOPS management, including site work processes such as LOTO, JSAs, and PTWs. Support construction, SHEs, and commissioning managers in SIMOPS execution.
Promote on-site awareness and safe performance of SIMOPS, LOTO, and PTWs through site visits and leadership.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, contractors, and authorities.
Participate in constructability reviews and construction readiness assessments.
Ensure schedule compliance and timely delivery of construction milestones.
Analyze progress reports and identify areas for contractor improvement.
Manage change controls in accordance with project procedures, assessing impacts.
Support advanced work packing and resolve constraints to support schedule delivery.
Lead construction completion processes, including punch list closure and discipline interface management.
