Head – Fixed Asset & Inventory Jobs in Doha at Swan Global WLL
Requirement:
- Minimum 20 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- At least 10 years in a managerial role overseeing Fixed Assets and Inventory Accounting.
- Minimum 10 years of experience within the Healthcare/Hospital sector.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Government/Public Sector.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience in Qatar.
- Proven experience managing large-scale fixed asset registers, inventory accounting, capital projects, and financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Fixed Assets and Inventory Accounting function.
- Ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, disposal, and reconciliation of fixed assets in compliance with IFRS and organizational policies.
- Oversee inventory accounting processes, stock valuation, and inventory controls.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end financial closing activities related to fixed assets and inventory.
- Maintain compliance with IFRS, internal controls, audit requirements, and statutory regulations.
- Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, engineering, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate asset and inventory records.
- Drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting through ERP systems.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while ensuring effective resource planning and performance management.
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
- Working knowledge of Oracle ERP, SAP, or other enterprise resource planning systems.
- Thorough understanding of IFRS, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
