Prepare Coffee and Beverages:
Brew coffee, espresso, and tea beverages according to customer preferences.
Operate coffee machines (espresso machines, grinders, etc.) and other beverage-making equipment.
Serve hot and cold beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, iced coffee, and smoothies.
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly and take their orders.
Provide recommendations for drinks or menu items.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with a positive attitude.
Maintain Cleanliness:
Keep the coffee bar and surrounding areas clean and organized.
Ensure all equipment is cleaned and sanitized regularly.
Clean tables, counters, and floors as needed.
Cash Handling:
Process customer payments (cash and card) accurately.
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Maintain a balanced cash register at the end of the shift.
Stocking and Inventory:
Restock ingredients and supplies, such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, and cups.
Report low inventory levels to senior staff or management.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient service.
Assist in training new baristas or staff, as needed.
Other Duties:
Assist with food preparation and serving (e.g., pastries, sandwiches).
Adhere to safety and health regulations, including food safety standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
Basic Barista Skills: Experience using espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment is a plus but not always required.
Customer Service: Friendly, approachable, and able to communicate effectively with customers.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to Detail: Precision in preparing drinks and handling orders.
Time Management: Ability to multitask and work efficiently during busy periods.
Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and shift-based schedules.
