Head – Asset Management

As the Head – Asset Management at Sanad Capital, you will lead the engine asset portfolio to optimize commercial value and operational efficiency throughout the asset lifecycle. Reporting to the Director of Asset Management, you will oversee engine valuation, acquisition, teardown, and parts trading activities. Your leadership will ensure alignment with Sanad Capital’s financial, technical, and strategic goals, driving commercial excellence and fostering strategic partnerships. This role also involves ensuring compliance with policies and contributing to the long-term growth and performance of the business.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engine valuation and acquisition strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead commercial strategies for engine purchases, teardowns, and parts trading, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships to enhance portfolio performance and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support portfolio growth and asset utilization.
• Participate in policy development and ensure adherence to governance frameworks and quality standards.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to the asset management team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
• Oversee the full asset management project life cycle, monitoring cost, quality, and timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and benchmark operations against international best practices.
• Manage deal origination, evaluation, negotiation, and closing activities to align with financial and operational objectives.
• Support Emiratization by identifying competency gaps and developing UAE national talent.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management in line with business priorities.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field, with a Master’s Degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred. You should bring 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in commercial aviation engine or component asset repair, sales, or technical MRO management, including 5 to 8 years in leadership roles. Proven expertise in engine valuation, asset acquisition, teardown management, and parts trading is essential. A strong understanding of aviation regulations, OEM maintenance methodologies, and MRO operations is required, alongside demonstrated financial modelling, deal execution, and P&L accountability skills. You are a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership capabilities, able to drive business planning, governance, market insight, deal origination, and financial discipline. Experience fostering high-performing teams and developing Emirati talent will be highly valued.
