Head, Applications Support Jobs in Doha, Qatar at Ministry of Public Health – Qatar
Job Summary:
The job holder shall be responsible to develop and implement the policies and procedures for the Applications Section and to operate, maintain the databases of the various applications and protect them from tampering and unauthorized access.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Implementing the policies and procedures of the Applications Department.
Preparing a plan to develop applications and digital services and following up on their implementation in coordination with the relevant authorities.
Studying and understanding the requirements and needs of the work and proposing the necessary applications to complete them.
Preparing application deployment plans and following up on their implementation.
Training users on the applications and providing them with the necessary support.
Documenting all programs and systems used in maintaining and updating the application structure in line with the institutional structure.
Preparing and programming applications in line with the requirements and needs of the departments.
Documenting, studying and analyzing the work requirements and procedures related to the required digital services.
Preparing all designs and technical plans at various levels.
Reviewing and approving the outputs of application design in line with the organization’s structure and application engineering.
Monitoring and auditing all procedures followed in analyzing, documenting and implementing applications.
Preparing application testing plans and following up on their implementation.
Conducting all types of tests for functional and technical applications.
Training the relevant authorities on quality procedures and testing for applications.
Analyze and design databases in line with the institutional structure and technical requirements of systems and programs.
Manage, operate and maintain all databases related to various applications.
Install new components or upgrade and update databases according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Follow up and adjust the performance level of all databases for various applications.
Supervise the implementation of all processes of linking databases of various applications to external databases.
Maintain the confidentiality of databases of various applications and protect them from tampering and unauthorized access.
Manage smart systems and investigate information, reports and operations including implementation and maintenance.
Perform other tasks as requested to meet ongoing organizational needs.
Essential Education:
Bachelor’s degrees in computer sciences/IT related field. Masters in related field preferred.
Required Certification/ Licensure:
Training programs and Certification in the same field as Oracle, SAP etc.
Essential Experience:
Minimum 16 years of experience in related field.
