Job Summary:
A Gypsum Carpenter is responsible for installing, repairing, and finishing gypsum board (drywall) systems used for walls, ceilings, and decorative features. The role includes creating partitions, false ceilings, and customized designs while ensuring high-quality finishing and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install gypsum boards for walls, ceilings, and partitions.
- Construct and install false ceilings and decorative designs.
- Measure, cut, and shape gypsum boards according to drawings.
- Assemble metal or wooden frameworks for gypsum installation.
- Read and interpret drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Apply joint treatment, plastering, and finishing to ensure smooth surfaces.
- Repair damaged gypsum boards and ceiling systems.
- Install insulation materials when required.
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and structural stability.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
- Follow safety procedures and site regulations.
