Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Gypsum Carpenter to join our fit-out and maintenance team. The candidate must be skilled in gypsum board installation, ceiling works, partition works, bulkheads, framing, and finishing preparation. The ideal candidate should be able to work according to site drawings, measurements, and project requirements while maintaining quality, safety, and timely completion of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Install gypsum boards, false ceilings, partitions, bulkheads, and decorative gypsum works.
- Read and follow site drawings, measurements, levels, and layout instructions.
- Fix metal frames, channels, studs, tracks, and supports as per project requirements.
- Cut, shape, and install gypsum boards accurately with proper alignment and finishing.
- Carry out ceiling grid works, access panel fixing, and related fit-out installations.
- Coordinate with painters, electricians, AC technicians, and other site teams.
- Ensure proper jointing, screw fixing, edge finishing, and surface preparation.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.
- Follow site safety rules and use PPE during duty hours.
- Report material requirements, site issues, and work progress to the supervisor.
- Complete assigned work within the required time and quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Gypsum Carpenter.
- UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of gypsum ceiling, partition, framing, and fit-out works.
- Ability to take measurements and work independently.
- Knowledge of tools such as drill machine, cutter, level, measuring tape, screw gun, and grinder.
- Ability to work under pressure and follow supervisor instructions.
- Good teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail.
