ATHOOR is a fast-growing UAE-based group with expanding business verticals across premium furniture rentals, event solutions, hospitality operations, event production, fabrication, temporary structures, and large-scale project execution.As we continue to grow and establish new verticals, we are looking for a highly organized, meticulous, and commercially sharp Group Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance and accounting function across ATHOOR, SAFFRON Hospitality, CRAFTORA Event Management, and any additional companies or divisions introduced within the group.This is a key leadership role for someone who understands that finance is not only about bookkeeping. It is about control, accuracy, compliance, cash-flow discipline, audit readiness, management reporting, and protecting the financial health of the business.We are looking for an ACE in the finance and accounting game.Role OverviewThe Group Finance Manager will be responsible for managing and controlling the complete finance, accounting, taxation, audit, reporting, cash-flow, receivables, payables, payroll, compliance, and financial documentation functions of the group.The ideal candidate must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, process-driven, confidential, and capable of working across multiple companies with different operational models.This role requires someone who can clean up records, build systems, implement controls, lead the accounts team, prepare accurate reports, support management decisions, and ensure that all financial matters are handled professionally, transparently, and on time.The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where multiple companies, projects, vendors, clients, partners, and deadlines need to be managed with precision.Key ResponsibilitiesGroup Finance & Accounting Management

  • Manage the complete finance and accounting function for ATHOOR, SAFFRON Hospitality, CRAFTORA Event Management, and future group verticals.
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts for each company, ensuring proper recording, classification, reconciliation, documentation, and reporting.
  • Ensure all transactions are properly recorded in the accounting system, including sales, purchases, expenses, payments, receipts, advances, loans, intercompany transactions, salaries, petty cash, bank transfers, and adjustments.
  • Maintain proper chart of accounts, cost centers, project codes, department-wise tracking, and company-wise reporting structures.
  • Ensure financial records are updated daily, reviewed regularly, and available for management review at all times.
  • Implement strong internal controls to avoid errors, duplication, missing documentation, misuse of funds, unauthorized payments, and weak financial practices.

Cash Flow, Receivables & Payables

  • Prepare and monitor weekly and monthly cash-flow reports for all companies.
  • Track incoming payments, client receivables, overdue invoices, outstanding balances, deposits, advances, and collection timelines.
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, and management to ensure timely collection from clients.
  • Manage vendor payments, supplier accounts, payment schedules, purchase documentation, and approvals.
  • Ensure no payment is processed without proper supporting documents, approvals, invoices, LPOs, delivery notes, contracts, or management authorization.
  • Maintain proper ageing reports for receivables and payables.
  • Alert management in advance regarding cash-flow risks, delayed collections, upcoming obligations, and financial pressure points.

VAT, Corporate Tax & Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT regulations, corporate tax requirements, FTA filings, tax registrations, deregistrations, supporting schedules, and statutory deadlines.
  • Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • Maintain proper VAT input/output records, tax invoices, credit notes, debit notes, import/export records, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate corporate tax registration, deregistration, filing requirements, financial statements, transfer pricing requirements where applicable, and related compliance matters.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, legal advisors, banks, and government authorities where required.
  • Ensure all companies remain compliant with UAE financial, tax, audit, and record-keeping requirements.

Audit, Financial Statements & Year-End Closing

  • Lead the preparation and completion of annual audits for all group companies.
  • Ensure audit files, schedules, reconciliations, supporting documents, ledgers, trial balances, and financial statements are properly prepared and submitted.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit queries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closing reports.
  • Ensure bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, customer reconciliations, inventory-related records, fixed assets, payroll, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany balances are properly reviewed and closed.
  • Ensure the group is audit-ready at all times, not only at year-end.

Management Reporting & Financial Analysis

  • Prepare accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
  • Provide company-wise, department-wise, project-wise, and vertical-wise financial performance reports.
  • Prepare profit and loss reports, balance sheet summaries, cash-flow reports, receivable reports, payable reports, cost reports, project profitability reports, and variance analysis.
  • Provide financial insights to support management decisions, pricing strategy, cost control, investment decisions, expansion planning, and operational improvements.
  • Highlight financial risks, revenue leakages, cost overruns, delayed collections, weak margins, and operational inefficiencies.
  • Present reports to management in a clear, structured, and decision-ready format.

Budgeting, Cost Control & Financial Planning

  • Prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts, cash-flow projections, and financial planning reports.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and report variances.
  • Work with management to establish department budgets, project budgets, event budgets, operational cost controls, and profitability targets.
  • Review project costing, quotations, supplier costs, operational expenses, manpower costs, rental revenue, hospitality revenue, production costs, and group overheads.
  • Recommend cost-saving measures without compromising operational quality.
  • Support management in building stronger financial discipline across all business verticals.

Payroll, Employee Advances & Internal Controls

  • Manage payroll processing, salary records, leave salary calculations, advances, deductions, reimbursements, incentives, commissions, and final settlement calculations in coordination with HR.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee loans, advances, deductions, visa-related recoveries, penalties, and other staff-related financial matters.
  • Ensure payroll is prepared accurately, confidentially, and on time.
  • Implement approval systems for staff advances, reimbursements, petty cash, and operational expenses.

Systems, ERP & Documentation

  • Ensure proper usage, maintenance, and accuracy of accounting software, ERP, Odoo, or any financial systems used by the group.
  • Improve finance workflows, documentation systems, approval processes, reporting formats, trackers, and internal controls.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical finance records for all companies.
  • Ensure all invoices, receipts, contracts, LPOs, delivery notes, payment vouchers, bank records, audit documents, tax records, and supporting documents are properly filed and easily retrievable.
  • Support ERP implementation, barcode/inventory integration, finance process automation, and system improvements where required.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, and supervise the accounts and finance team.
  • Allocate responsibilities clearly and monitor daily output.
  • Review the work of junior accountants, accounts assistants, cashiers, and finance coordinators.
  • Build a disciplined finance department with proper reporting routines, deadlines, checklists, and accountability.
  • Ensure the team works with accuracy, confidentiality, urgency, and professionalism.

Required Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory.
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Commerce will be an advantage.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, CIMA, or equivalent will be strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax, audit requirements, accounting standards, and financial compliance is mandatory.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, taxation, and financial management.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years in a Finance Manager, Group Finance Manager, Chief Accountant, Senior Accountant, or similar leadership role.
  • UAE experience is mandatory.
  • Experience handling finance for multiple companies, group entities, branches, divisions, or business verticals is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in furniture rentals, events, exhibitions, hospitality, F&B, production, interior fit-out, logistics, trading, or project-based businesses will be a strong advantage.
  • Strong experience in VAT filing, corporate tax compliance, audit coordination, year-end closing, financial statements, reconciliations, receivables, payables, payroll, and management reporting.
  • Experience using Odoo, Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Focus, or similar accounting/ERP systems is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills are mandatory.
