Job Overview
The Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher will provide a warm and engaging learning environment where young students develop foundational academic, social, and emotional skills. Using play-based and inquiry-driven learning approaches, the teacher will implement the American curriculum Standards and support students’ academic achievement and early development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the curriculum.
Foster a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
Use play-based and hands-on learning strategies to enhance student engagement.
Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students and ensure accelerated learning and outstanding students achievement.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student development and learning goals.
Implement positive behavior management strategies to support student well-being.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive early years program.
Participate in school events, professional development, and extracurricular activities as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (B.Ed.) or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with a recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent).
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in early childhood education, preferably in UAE.
Experience teaching in Dubai or the UAE, with knowledge of KHDA requirements.
Valid Teaching License from the country of qualification.
Strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices in Kindergarten education.
Experience with play-based and inquiry-driven learning approaches.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Passionate about fostering a love of learning in young children.
Preferred Qualifications
Training or certification in phonics-based literacy programs (e.g., Jolly Phonics).
Familiarity with Early childhood curriculum frameworks.
