About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our dynamic team at Dormont Manufacturing Co. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the company's strict quality standards and comply with industry regulations. You will work closely with production, engineering, and customer service teams to identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and improve overall product quality. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or equivalent; however, an associate degree or higher in quality assurance, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, especially in quality control or inspection roles, is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, and familiarity with inspection tools and techniques, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges, are essential. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are crucial. Good communication skills and the ability to document findings accurately are also important for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Monitor and inspect incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards. Conduct routine inspections and tests using appropriate measurement tools and techniques. Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality checks. Identify and report any deviations or defects promptly to relevant departments. Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. Assist in root cause analysis of quality problems and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Support internal and external audits related to quality standards and assist in maintaining certifications. Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
