Job Summary:
The Paint Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the painting and finishing of joinery (woodworking) products, ensuring quality standards, safety regulations, and efficient workflow. The role involves supervising a team, managing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring that all work is completed on time and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Supervision & Leadership:
Supervise a team of painters and finishers involved in the preparation and application of paints, stains, and varnishes on joinery products.
Assign tasks and manage the workload to ensure timely completion of projects.
Provide training and development opportunities for team members in painting techniques, finishing processes, and safety protocols.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished joinery items to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Oversee the preparation of surfaces, ensuring proper sanding, priming, and painting processes are followed for a smooth and durable finish.
Ensure that all paints, stains, and finishes are applied evenly and according to industry best practices.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce safety regulations in the paint shop, ensuring all workers follow safety protocols and wear necessary protective gear (PPE).
Ensure proper ventilation systems are in place when using chemical paints and solvents to maintain air quality.
Promote a culture of safety and report any safety incidents or concerns immediately.
Material & Resource Management:
Order, manage, and maintain inventory levels of paints, varnishes, brushes, spray guns, and other finishing materials.
Ensure materials are stored properly and are safe for use, especially when handling chemicals and paints.
Monitor the usage of materials to minimize waste and control costs.
Equipment Maintenance:
Oversee the maintenance and cleaning of painting equipment, including spray guns, brushes, and airless sprayers.
Ensure that all painting equipment is in proper working condition, troubleshoot issues, and arrange for repairs when necessary.
Implement regular checks to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Process Improvement:
Continuously assess and improve painting processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
Implement best practices for surface preparation, paint application, and drying times.
Identify and resolve any bottlenecks or production delays in the painting process.
Collaboration & Communication:
Collaborate with the production and design teams to ensure that joinery products are prepared and finished according to client specifications.
Maintain clear communication with senior management regarding production schedules, material requirements, and any issues affecting the painting process.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of paint application, materials used, inventory levels, and work completed.
Prepare daily/weekly reports on the progress of painting and finishing tasks.
Document any issues that arise during the painting process and take corrective actions when necessary.

Pay: AED6,000.00 – AED10,000.00 per month
