About the Role
We are seeking a commercially driven Government Accounts Director to lead strategic public-sector accounts and drive long-term revenue growth across key government entities in Saudi Arabia.
This role is responsible for overseeing high-value government portfolios, leading account managers, strengthening executive client relationships, and expanding strategic opportunities across public-sector accounts. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in government account leadership, strategic client management, and commercial growth within the ICT or technology services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow strategic government accounts across ministries, authorities, and public-sector entities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders and key decision-makers across government clients
- Own account strategy, revenue performance, and long-term portfolio growth across assigned government accounts
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and drive account expansion
- Oversee the evaluation of RFPs, Etimad opportunities, and strategic public-sector bids
- Assess strategic fit, commercial viability, and growth potential of new opportunities
- Guide account managers in improving portfolio performance, client engagement, and revenue outcomes
- Monitor pipeline health, account performance, and sales targets across the government portfolio
- Partner closely with internal teams including Presales, Delivery, Finance, and Business Development to ensure successful execution and client satisfaction
- Monitor market trends, procurement activity, and competitive movement across the public sector
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting across the government accounts function
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in account management, enterprise sales, or business development
- Proven experience managing government accounts and public-sector clients in Saudi Arabia
- Strong track record in revenue growth, strategic account expansion, and executive client relationship management
- Experience leading account managers or commercial teams
- Strong experience in RFP evaluation, public-sector bidding, and government procurement cycles
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic planning, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Experience in ICT, digital transformation, managed services, or technology solutions is highly preferred.
Preferred Background
- Experience managing strategic accounts across ministries, government authorities, or semi-government entities
- Strong understanding of Saudi public-sector procurement frameworks and commercial processes
- Familiarity with Etimad, enterprise account structures, and strategic bid management.
