The Glass Fabricator is responsible for cutting, processing, shaping, assembling, and finishing glass products according to engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards. The role involves operating glass fabrication machinery, ensuring accurate measurements, maintaining workplace safety, and delivering high-quality finished products for architectural, commercial, and residential applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications.
- Measure, mark, cut, grind, polish, drill, and edge glass using manual and automated equipment.
- Operate glass fabrication machinery such as CNC glass cutting machines, edge polishers, drilling machines, beveling machines, and tempering line equipment.
- Fabricate glass products including tempered, laminated, insulated, frosted, and decorative glass.
- Perform glass hole drilling, notching, cut-outs, and custom fabrication as per project requirements.
- Assemble insulated glass units (IGUs) and other glass systems when required.
- Inspect finished products to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality compliance.
- Handle and transport glass safely using appropriate lifting equipment and tools.
- Identify and report damaged materials, equipment faults, or production issues.
- Maintain fabrication tools and machinery in good working condition.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, production schedules, and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with packing, labeling, and preparing fabricated glass for delivery.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Technical or vocational certification in glass fabrication is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in glass fabrication, preferably in the architectural glass industry.
- Experience working with tempered, laminated, insulated, and decorative glass products is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of glass fabrication techniques and processes.
- Ability to read engineering and shop drawings.
- Proficiency in using glass cutting and processing machinery.
- Good measuring and mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness and ability to handle heavy glass safely.

Working Conditions
- Manufacturing or fabrication workshop environment.
- Standing for extended periods and lifting glass panels.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, safety shoes, and hearing protection.
- May require overtime to meet project deadlines.
Pay: AED747.86 – AED1,500.00 per month
