GIS Specialist (Oil & Gas / Civil & Infrastructure) Jobs in Doha at Qatar Master W.L.L
We are hiring a highly experienced Senior GIS Specialist with 7–10+ years of expertise in Oil & Gas and Civil/Infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will lead GIS operations, manage complex geospatial databases, oversee mapping standards, and support large-scale engineering, construction, pipeline, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, management, and optimization of enterprise-level GIS databases for oil & gas and civil infrastructure projects.
- Oversee spatial data management for pipelines, utilities, roads, drainage systems, and offshore/onshore assets.
- Manage GIS integration with CAD, BIM, SCADA, and asset management systems.
- Supervise GIS mapping, geoprocessing, and spatial analysis for large-scale engineering projects.
- Lead pipeline routing, corridor studies, right-of-way analysis, and infrastructure planning.
- Ensure accuracy, quality control, and compliance with international GIS standards and client requirements.
- Develop advanced GIS dashboards, thematic maps, and spatial reports for senior management.
- Manage GPS, drone, and survey data integration into GIS systems.
- Support environmental impact studies, risk assessments, and asset integrity management.
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, survey teams, and project stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior GIS staff and technicians.
- Evaluate and implement new GIS technologies, tools, and workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Civil Engineering, Geospatial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10+ years of professional GIS experience, preferably in Oil & Gas and Civil Infrastructure projects.
- Strong expertise in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, QGIS.
- Advanced experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D / Map 3D, and GIS-CAD/BIM integration.
- Proven experience in pipeline mapping, utility networks, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of spatial databases (SQL Server/PostGIS), geodatabase design, and data management.
- Experience with GPS, drone mapping, remote sensing, and survey data processing.
- Deep understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and geospatial standards.
- Experience in enterprise GIS solutions and web GIS applications.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and project coordination skills.
- Valid Qatar ID and immediate availability preferred.
