General Manager of Community Engagement & Corporate Communications

Job Description:

The General Manager of Community Engagement & Corporate Communications is responsible for leading the development of strategies related to community engagement and corporate communications, as well as establishing policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with them. The role oversees the design and execution of engagement and communication plans to ensure alignment with the Authority’s strategic objectives.

Additionally, the role focuses on building strong strategic relationships with various stakeholders to foster effective collaboration that supports the preservation of cultural heritage and enhances community participation in these efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement community engagement and corporate communication strategies and plans.
  • Establish policies and procedures for community engagement and corporate communications.
  • Lead community research and studies to identify opportunities and challenges within local communities.
  • Design initiatives to support and empower local communities and enhance employment opportunities.
  • Oversee the documentation and promotion of local cultural heritage.
  • Strengthen corporate identity and ensure effective communication with target audiences and stakeholders.
  • Develop marketing plans to enhance awareness of the Authority’s programs, initiatives, and services.
  • Build partnerships and strategic alliances with government entities, private sector organizations, and international institutions.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of major events and participation in key engagements, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of protocol and organization to deliver impactful outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 10 years of experience in community engagement, public relations, marketing, or related fields. Experience in environmental or tourism sectors is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience.
  • Professional proficiency in Arabic and advanced level in English.
  • Preferred certifications include: SCMP, CPRL, PCM, CMMP, CEM, PPRC, PMP, and International Association for Public Participation (IAP) certification
