General Manager – Holiday Homes / Short-Term Rentals Jobs in Dubai at MaxStays
This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business.
You’ll manage our remote team, improve performance across departments, retain top talent, implement better systems, and ensure every part of the business runs efficiently.
This role is ideal for someone who has previously managed a holiday home or short-term rental business and understands the operational challenges that come with scaling.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership
- Manage and lead all departments within MaxStays.
- Conduct weekly one-to-one meetings with staff.
- Set KPIs and monitor team performance.
- Coach, mentor and develop employees.
- Identify training needs and improve staff skills.
- Create career progression plans.
- Build a positive, high-performance culture.
- Improve staff retention and engagement.
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations across all managed properties.
- Ensure SOPs are followed consistently.
- Improve operational efficiency through systems and automation.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.
- Ensure exceptional guest experience across every property.
- Monitor response times, review scores and operational KPIs.
Staff Management
- Recruit, onboard and train new team members.
- Conduct performance reviews.
- Manage holiday requests and staff schedules.
- Handle disciplinary procedures where required.
- Foster accountability throughout the business.
Business Performance
- Monitor company KPIs.
- Report directly to the Managing Director.
- Improve profitability through operational efficiencies.
- Assist with budgeting and resource planning.
- Help scale the business into new markets.
Property Operations
- Oversee guest communications.
- Ensure maintenance issues are resolved promptly.
- Coordinate with cleaners and maintenance teams.
- Monitor property standards.
- Work closely with the revenue and pricing team.
Owner Relations
- Ensure property owners receive excellent service.
- Improve owner retention.
- Resolve escalated owner issues.
- Help strengthen long-term relationships with landlords.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a holiday home, Airbnb or short-term rental business.
- Previous experience leading and managing teams.
- Strong understanding of Airbnb, Booking.com and OTA operations.
- Experience with PMS software (Hostaway preferred).
- Excellent people management skills.
- Proven ability to improve operational performance.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluent English.

Pay: AED8,000.00 – AED15,000.00 per month
