Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven General Manager – P&L to lead the overall business operations, profitability, and strategic growth of a leading Money Exchange organization in Qatar. The successful candidate will have full Profit & Loss responsibility while driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, business expansion, and digital transformation. This is a senior leadership role requiring extensive experience in the Money Exchange, Banking, Foreign Exchange, or Financial Services industry.

Qualification:
Experience:
- Minimum 20 years of overall professional experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Money Exchange, Foreign Exchange, Banking, Remittance, or Financial Services
. - Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role with full P&L ownership (General Manager, Country Head, Business Head, or equivalent).
- Prior experience in Qatar or GCC is highly preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- MBA or Master’s Degree is highly preferred.
Technical
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Money Exchange operations, foreign exchange, remittance services, and financial products.
- Expertise in budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Strong understanding of QCB regulations
, AML, KYC, CFT, sanctions screening, governance, and risk management. - Experience leading digital transformation, fintech solutions, and process automation.
- Strong commercial, strategic planning, financial management, and stakeholder management skills.
Mandatory Criteria:
- Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability.
- Extensive leadership experience managing large-scale operations and multiple branches.
- Strong regulatory and compliance knowledge within the financial services industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall business with full ownership of Profit & Loss, financial performance, and strategic direction.
- Develop and execute business strategies to achieve sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and business performance targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, branch expansion plans, and additional revenue streams.
- Monitor financial performance, operational efficiency, and key business performance indicators.
- Oversee end-to-end Money Exchange operations while ensuring operational excellence across all branches.
- Establish operational policies, internal controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with Qatar Central Bank (QCB) regulations, AML, KYC, CFT, sanctions screening, and internal governance requirements.
- Maintain strong risk management practices and ensure audit readiness across the organization.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with banking partners, regulators, corporate clients, and key stakeholders.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, including fintech solutions, remittance platforms, and process automation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop senior leadership teams while fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards and effectively resolve critical customer escalations.
