Your mission
As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and strategic direction of the hotel. You will ensure operational excellence across all departments, foster a culture of high performance, and deliver outstanding financial results while maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction and brand integrity.
What you will be responsible for
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across all hotel departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, and Human Resources.
- Develop and execute business strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, market share, and long-term success.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost-control initiatives to achieve and exceed business objectives.
- Champion guest satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service standards and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build, inspire, and develop high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and talent development programs.
- Create a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with Barceló Hotel Group’s values and leadership principles.
- Ensure full compliance with local legislation, health and safety regulations, and corporate policies.
- Strengthen relationships with hotel owners, business partners, suppliers, tourism organizations, and local stakeholders.
- Maintain and elevate Barceló brand standards through rigorous quality assurance programs and operational excellence.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Oversee the maintenance, preservation, and enhancement of hotel assets and facilities.
- Act as the ambassador of the hotel within the local community and represent Barceló Hotel Group at industry events and key business forums.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A Master’s Degree is highly valued.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience within the hospitality industry.
- At least 5 years of successful experience as General Manager of a full-service hotel.
- Proven ability to drive strong financial performance, revenue growth, market positioning, and guest satisfaction results.
- Comprehensive understanding of hotel operations, commercial strategy, financial management, sales and marketing, and people leadership.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong business acumen with a strategic and results-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire diverse, high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in hotel management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are considered a strong advantage.
- Previous experience in the Middle East and knowledge of the Riyadh hospitality market will be highly valued.
