We are one of the leading companies operating in the Real Estate and Hospitality sector. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team.

  • Job Purpose:

The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete general ledger records across all business units. The role supports timely financial closing and reporting in compliance with internal policies and IFRS, leveraging financial systems effectively to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

  • Key Responsibilities:

Journal Entries Management

  • Record, review, and monitor all journal entries (standard, recurring, and ad hoc).
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal accounting policies.

Financial Close & Reporting

  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for the Company, SPVs (when applicable), and hotel owner books.
  • Adhere strictly to the finance closing calendar and reporting deadlines.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Ledger Review

  • Prepare and review key balance sheet reconciliations (internal and external).
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items in coordination with relevant finance teams.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of ledger postings.

Intercompany & Consolidation Support

  • Support intercompany transactions, matching, eliminations, and consolidation adjustments.
  • Ensure consistency across entities and resolve variances in a timely manner.

Trial Balance Review

  • Validate and maintain accurate trial balances for assigned entities.
  • Ensure readiness for consolidation and statutory reporting.

Audit & Compliance

  • Maintain robust documentation and audit trails.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal control frameworks.

ERP & Systems

  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions in the ERP system.
  • Assist in resolving system-related issues and supporting finance system enhancements.

Process Improvement

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and system improvements.
  • Contribute to greater efficiency, accuracy, and standardization across finance operations.

  • Job Requirements:

Academic Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Preferred: Progress toward a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ACA, CMA)

Work Experience

  • Required: Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a similar role within the KSA region
  • Preferred: Experience within a head office environment supporting multiple business units

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle)
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines
