Position Overview
The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, and supporting timely month-end and year-end closing processes. This role is ideal for a detail-driven accounting professional who thrives in a structured yet dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis
- Record journal entries accurately and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules
- Review and analyze account balances to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist in internal and external audit processes
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
- Collaborate with finance teams to improve reporting efficiency and controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS standards (preferred)
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- High attention to detail with strong analytical abilities
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
