We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MEP Engineer with a solid Civil Engineering background to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, coordination, and installation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems within a variety of construction projects. You will work closely with other engineers and project teams to ensure that the MEP systems are integrated efficiently with the overall civil and structural design.
Assist in the planning and design of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other related systems, ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and client specifications.
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into civil and structural designs.
Review and evaluate MEP design documents and drawings for quality and compliance.
Oversee the procurement and installation of MEP systems during the construction phase.
Monitor and manage the progress of MEP work to ensure that it adheres to the project schedule, quality standards, and budget.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MEP systems on-site.
Supervise the construction and installation of MEP systems to ensure they are in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
Conduct regular site visits to inspect MEP installations and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to resolve any site-related issues.
Prepare and review MEP-related technical documents, reports, and specifications for compliance with industry standards.
Ensure that all MEP systems meet the required safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of MEP system installations, inspections, and maintenance.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A postgraduate degree or certification in MEP engineering will be a plus.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in MEP engineering or related fields, with a background in civil engineering.
Strong understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
Proficiency in MEP design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
