Gear Box Field Specialist Jobs in Dammam, Saudi Arabia at Baker Hughes Company
As a Gear Box Field Specialist, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and/or inspection operations at our customers’ sites around the world. Your duties will include communicating with customers to determine their needs, performing inspections or repairs, conducting mechanical activities on site, inspecting gears and auxiliary components such as pumps and couplings, replacing parts in LUFKIN gears or competitor gearboxes, reconditioning gearboxes, resolving malfunctions or emergencies, performing vibration checks, supervising repairs and technical improvements, and supervising and directing on site teams including client subcontractors.
You will also prepare post intervention reports.
Responsibilities
- Communicating with the customer to determine their needs and performing inspections or repairs.
- Performing mechanical activities on site, either alone or with the customer’s employees.
- Inspecting gears and auxiliary components (pumps, couplings, etc.).
- Replacing parts in LUFKIN Gears or competitor gearboxes, as well as bearings or bushings.
- Reconditioning LUFKIN gearboxes or those of our competitors.
- Resolving malfunctions or emergencies as needed.
- Performing vibration checks.
- Supervising repairs and technical improvements.
- Supervising and directing on site teams (e.g., client subcontractors).
- Preparing post intervention reports.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Field.
- 2 to 6 years of experience with rotating equipment, turbines, or gearboxes from the oil and gas domain.
- Open to work in Baker Hughes plant in Dammam, with travel required to parts of Saudi Arabia.
- Ability to travel worldwide 80% of the time.
- Bilingual in Arabic and English.
- Ability to work in difficult conditions (climate, dust) and occasionally overtime.
- Rigorous, organized, methodical, autonomous, and able to take initiative.
