Role Overview
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and results-driven lessons to secondary school students preparing for GCSE examinations and standardized admissions tests such as the SAT and ACT.
Students may come from British, American, IB, and international school backgrounds. The role offers flexibility, professional development opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one and small-group tutoring sessions.
- Prepare students for GCSE, SAT, and ACT examinations.
- Assess student strengths and weaknesses and develop personalized study plans.
- Conduct mock examinations and provide detailed feedback.
- Track student progress and communicate regularly with parents and the academic team.
- Create and adapt educational resources when required.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and safeguarding.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Strong academic background in Mathematics, English, Science, or a related field.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience with GCSE, SAT, or ACT students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Fluent English proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching multiple curricula (British, American, IB).
- Demonstrated record of helping students achieve significant score improvements.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, State Teaching License, etc.).
- Experience with AP, A-Level, or university admissions preparation.
