Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Garden Equipment Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance, repair, and performance of our garden and landscaping equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills. The role requires regular communication with suppliers, service providers, and internal teams to ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standards and operational downtime is minimized.
Key Responsibilities
* Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair garden and landscaping equipment.
* Perform preventive maintenance on all powered and non-powered equipment.
* Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and coordinate repairs when required.
* Maintain maintenance schedules, service records, and equipment logs.
* Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and suppliers regarding technical issues, spare parts, warranties, and servicing.
* Obtain quotations and manage the procurement of spare parts and replacement equipment.
* Communicate professionally with suppliers and service providers through email and phone.
* Prepare maintenance reports and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements when necessary.
* Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards and operational requirements.
* Monitor equipment performance and implement measures to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
* Support inventory management of spare parts and maintenance tools.
* Assist in evaluating new garden equipment before purchase.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience maintaining garden, landscaping, agricultural, or outdoor power equipment.
* Strong knowledge of petrol, diesel, battery-powered, and electric garden equipment.
* Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

* Ability to write clear, professional emails to suppliers and manufacturers.
* Strong organizational and documentation skills.

* Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
Preferred Experience
Experience maintaining equipment such as:
* Ride-on and walk-behind lawn mowers
* Brush cutters and grass trimmers
* Chainsaws and hedge trimmers
* Leaf blowers and pressure washers
* Water pumps and irrigation equipment
* Small diesel and petrol engines
* Battery-powered landscaping equipment
* Irrigation control systems
