Prepare and execute all outage activities associated with Reactor Vessel Disassembly, Reactor Core Fuel removal, Neutron Source movement, and Reactor Core Fuel reload, and Reactor Vessel Reassembly, Spent Fuel Pool Fuel movements and non-outage fuel movement such as new fuel receipt and storage activities in accordance with ENEC Operations standards and procedures.
Reactor Vessel Disassembly, Reassembly and Fuel movements
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Prepare and execute the following outage activities in accordance with ENEC Operations standards and procedures:
o Fuel Receipt including the unloading and storage of the fuel shipping cask as well as the fuel handling, inspection, and storage of the fuel assemblies.
o Reactor Pressure Vessel (IHA) Integrated Head Assembly Disassembly & Re-assembly including vessel internals such as Upper Guide Structure (UGS) & Core Support Barrel (CSB).
o Removal and re-Installation of components such as but not limited to pressure boundary, push and pull cables, 54 Reactor Vessel-Stud bolts and plugs, stud hole inspection & plug installation.
o Core Loading & Unloading
o Management of Fuel Handling Systems and Equipment, including inspection, testing and maintenance of lifting and rigging equipment/accessories.
o Management of special tools and materials.
o Review of the required documentation for the required work package including Work Order, Job Hazard Analysis, Work Method Statement, Final Report, etc.
o Identify and implement improvement based on OE of all fuel handling equipment related procedures
o Perform the Foreign object search and retrieval (FOSAR) for the Fuel Handling Area and Reactor Refueling Pool.
• Review work packages for operation and outage Refueling activities to ensure and improve the quality of the work packages.
• Perform proper and timely preparation and staging for refueling work activities. Including the submission of procurement requests for equipment spare parts and special tools to ensure refueling activities are properly resourced. Consolidate the list of spare parts and secure critical spare parts to ensure system operability.
• Attend pre- and post-job briefings and oversee maintenance teams performing tasks to ensure alignment with the maintenance standards and procedures in ENEC Operations.
• Conduct periodic and surveillance tests to confirm efficient plant instrumentation system performance or identify deficiencies.
• Review equipment master list and requests to incorporate in Operation Management System (OMS) to improve knowledge of the implemented programs.
• Implement foreign material exclusion (FME) program in accordance with the program requirements and guidelines to ensure plant safety and reliability.
• Maintain overall refuel floor and spent fuel building cleanliness via approved Foreign Materials Exclusion (FME) programs to ensure successful FME prevention and facilitate Containment inspection closure.
• Utilize the Corrective Action Program (CAP) to identify plant deficiencies and improve performance.
• Support in the production of high standard self-assessments to provide for useful self-criticality and continuous improvement.
• Execute troubleshooting and repair on equipment to ensure that issues are resolved correctly and in a timely manner.
• Comply with Maintenance Code of Conduct procedures and guidelines to ensure the safety and reliability of the plant.
• Follow and adhere to ALARA plans and implement recovery plans when ALARA Goals are challenged or exceeded.
• Coordinate, monitor and communicate with the OCC, Operations, Maintenance, contractors, Radiation Safety, polar crane operators and the Containment Specialists to ensure smooth flow of work, adherence to the critical path schedules and strict focus on Nuclear and industrial safety in accordance with ENEC Operations standards and procedures.
Quality Assurance
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Verify that all work carried out is of the highest standards of safety and quality, and in compliance with the department and company-wide quality assurance program, to effectively support safe and reliable plant operation.
• Participate in continuous learning and application of industry best practices to maintain the highest quality of maintenance workmanship.
• Identify and respond to maintenance quality related issues and plant equipment deficiencies to line management to support rapid resolution of quality issues
Staff Training and Qualification
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Ensure management expectations on the Conduct of Maintenance are implemented and adhered to.
• Provide training feedback on program effectiveness through evaluation of performance to ensure a high quality of training and qualification program
Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Support outage and/or the emergency response organization, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures, and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others, and corporate assets.
• Follow all relevant Business Continuity and Resilience requirements for compliance with, and adherence to, policies, procedures and instructions related to the effective planning for, and response to, incidents and/or business disruptions to continue critical business processes and activities with minimal adverse impact
Experience and Qualification –
• 2 years of relevant experience, of which: 2 years in Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) Nuclear Power Plant experience at an operational site and or Advanced Pressurized water Reactor APR-1400, Open Pool Reactor (OPR)-1000 or Combustion
• Work Management or Outage Management experience, as applicable.
