Core Responsibilities:
- Manages the monitoring of external fraud transactions to ensure exceptions are flagged and thorough investigation on reported frauds and other irregularities are conducted in accordance with existing policies and procedures.
- Initiates assistance for the investigation team with regards to the operational issues related to fraud if required.
- Review Fraud Monitoring Unit FIM, DIM and procedures on annual basis.
- Liaises closely with SAB Senior Management, communicates fraud prevention incidents in order to maintain ahigh level of fraud awareness/alertness in the bank's departments.
- Manages the liaison with VISA/MasterCard and other banks in order to streamline and facilitate timely identification of fraud and implementation of prevention actions.
- Prepares fraud reports on an ongoing basis and presents to the Senior Manager Fraud Monitoring Unit in order to ensure potential fraud incidents are identified and losses are calculated in a correct manner.
- Guides and conducts data analysis on incidents and identifies trends and new developments with the aim to identify procedural lapses and breaches in internal control system leading to the perpetuation of fraud.
- Ensures assistance for the investigation team with regards to the operational issues related to fraud if required.
- Participate in all Bank projects and initiatives that requires FMU involvement.
- Implements the risk policies and processes (operational, regulatory, financial, informational, reputational and audit risks), ensuring that that these meet regulatory and internal requirements.
- Implements the internal control systems in the department and participates in the departmental audits.
- Implements practices to bridge gaps identified during departmental audits.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
- Around 5 years of experience with preferred 3 years in a relevant role.
