Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Foreign Payable Accountant to manage and process foreign payable transactions accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely reconciliation of accounts, preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with company financial policies and procedures. This role also requires close coordination with internal departments to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the foreign payables process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process foreign payable transactions accurately and on time.
- Prepare reconciliations and process reimbursements for all petty cash.
- Prepare payment certificates for petty cash reimbursements.
- Record accurate journal entries related to petty cash and other general ledger accounts.
- Pass credit notes, debit notes, and journal entries in BDI.
- Update and maintain financial databases for all released cash.
- Support the Finance team during monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Monitor and safeguard petty cash by following established cash handling procedures and internal controls.
- Reconcile petty cash balances regularly and investigate any discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and present reports on petty cash balances, expenditures, and reconciliation status.
- Prepare and maintain summaries for repair and maintenance expenses of company-owned vehicles.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth processing of foreign payable transactions.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, and internal control procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in Accounts Payable, Foreign Payables, or General Accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (BDI experience is an advantage).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Pay: QAR3,000.00 – QAR3,500.00 per month
