- Perform audits of food safety management systems to verify adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Assist in developing emergency response plans related to food safety incidents or recalls.
- Serve as a point of contact for food safety inquiries from the public, businesses, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on food safety inspections and findings for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Certification in Food Safety Management Systems (like HACCP or ISO), to demonstrate expertise in industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field is essential for foundational knowledge.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in food safety roles within the food production or hospitality industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with local and international food safety regulations, ensuring compliance with health codes.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating data and making informed decisions based on food safety metrics.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey food safety information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying potential food safety hazards.
