Job Summary
The Runner is responsible for supporting the restaurant and service team by ensuring food, beverages, and other items are delivered promptly and accurately from the kitchen or service area to guests and designated locations. The role requires speed, teamwork, attention to detail, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages quickly and accurately to guests.
- Assist waitstaff and other team members during busy service periods.
- Ensure orders are delivered to the correct table or designated location.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas.
- Support the team with table setup, clearing, and resetting when needed.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and service team regarding orders.
- Handle food and beverages carefully and follow proper hygiene and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to team requests and operational needs.
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to guests when required.
- Perform other duties related to restaurant operations as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is an advantage.
- Energetic, proactive, and physically fit for a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to work under pressure during busy service periods.
- Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude and strong customer-service mindset.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
